Gosh, Aamir Khan taking stabs at the King of Bollywood is taking it a little too far isn't it? It's funny how SRK always ends up at the Award shows like a loyal puppydog, while Aamir Khan makes plans to conquer the Oscars. Both men are the scions of the film industry and they are bickering over who's first, like 2 children scuffling over 1 mark to get first rank.
It's funny, but true. SRK takes a lot of hints from the clever player of Bollywood, for instance Aamir's Taare Zaameen Par definitely did great business by talking of Dyslexia and showing the world how important it is to make reality cinema, and choosing a sensitive subject was a great step. And Aamir can be the only man who can do reality cinema while being commercial, reminiscent of Smita Patil and Satyajit Ray. While coming to SRK, he can't be taken too seriously, for he is a romanchak actor, and doing Swades was in fact an achievement. But really did it do too well with our public? As it was meant for the NRIs?
I did mention in the beginning SRK takes hints from Aamir.
Well Didn't he work with Aamir's Gowarikar? And now he is comin up with a reality TV show on Star and supposedly it says : Kya Aap Paanchvi Paas Se Tez Hain?
Ho Hum.
SRK can unabashedly be called number 1 if he wants to be called that. Aamir is a splendid actor. What we see now is that SRK has a huge fan following, but then is he taking a leap with Holllywood? When that day happens, and SRK does do a Hollywood premiere, that day India should feel a little alienated, after all its a matter of time globalisation takes the better of him, and he does a flick, it will be worth a watch. It seems like our very own Aishwarya Rai doesn't seem to be making a mark with them, so is SRK waiting for the trial and error method with Ash, so he gets the plunge easily?
Why can't he just work with Jackie Chan?
Uff.
