One thing that you should gear up for in life is "the truth".
It's simple, plain and there's nothing wishy-wasy about it.
You love your friends because they agree with you, maybe mostly you are right, but taking criticism in the right manner must be a chapter to be taught in schools.
I'm brutal most times, love to speak the truth, to make things organised, but mostly, how good is the truth? Question it and you'll find the answer that we as human beings are gentle, loving creatures, even a 240 pounder of a giant would be touched if a butterfly landed softly on his arm. But truth is what you cannot get away from. Age and time teach us to be humble as we cannot have this life for long. Then we should ask ourselves the question, "What am I really doing here? What are my goals? What is my passion?"
I, for once, have put lots of things at stake to start a new life, amid new people. Challenging, right? So far, yes. Do I believe in fighting the system, when it comes to seeking a job? Yes. The country here doesn't really make it easy for foreign students who've come here to study see. It's because, foreign students bring in the buying habit and are customers to singapore's vast luxury market. Can you believe it that the National Library of Singapore provides no concessions to international students? But gives decent discounts at the Movie theatres? It's a carefully planned out money minting scheme and if you're smart enough to survive this, then I believe you've made it. Yes?
The truth in singapore is this. The Chinese food is cheaper than Indian. You've to be smart to be living cheaper if you find someone to share an HDB apartment. And it truly is a shopping destination where for 10$ you get 4 Body shop products! SO, yes, wear your blinkers if you walk into a mall and believe me you'll end up saving your money than spending it. And there's another truth. Electronics are really cheap. So, if yo want the best bargain, Singapore's the place to go wild shopping!
