about loneliness and other things.

Today brought me on the ground. Face to face with reality. Sometimes we need to have a reality-check on our lives. Sometimes there are these really terrible moments of depression that I don't know if I can breathe. My chest heaves and suddenly I feel as if I'm going to die. It chokes me up, but then I guess we should let life feel more superior to our emotions. It's right like that. Because only then will we be able to deal with any circumstance that befalls us.

There are times when I visit www.postsecret.blogspot.com and www.fmylife.com. They are these online portals that determine your secret quotient for loneliness and how fucked up your life really is. They are genius inventions. Because more than a million people log on to these sites to share their sad memories, and which indirectly make you feel better that at least my life isn't as fucked up..or...hey somebody's life is even more fucked up than mine. lol.

we all thrive on sadism.

sad.

But nevertheless, this sunday's postsecret was really sad. I figured a hell lot of people are really lonely. Lonely. In the age when communication has made it possible to be in touch with every person we have ever known in our life, through the medium of orkut and facebook and other such websites. But really, how many of us actually have our best friends there? Maybe 3-4..but the others are just mere acquaintances who see our pictures, check out our status updates..and the like. There are so many who just add friends for the heck of it. But really when you really want to have that heart-to-heart talk, do you have the people you bank upon? One phone call in frantic urgency to make to your friends, does it get answered? It is important that it should. Because all your life, if your nose has been too stuck up to not realise who your friends are, this life will definitely make it hard on you. So, go out there, make some friends. Make your heart a little lighter. Because there's nothing better than a good bunch of people huddled in a room full of laughter and booze. So let the night of your life remain young, because these friends would never let you grow old.

Cheers!
