Oscars.
What glory...
For each and everyone of us, storytelling has a charm of its own. Either you're the world's best listener or the world's best storyteller, or better still..an actor. Oscars brings out the best in us. One evening of the most fun and appreciation-led ceremony that brings tears to our eyes, the real joy and the people behind the movies that have touched us so deeply and the poetry of emotions and every word uttered in that Kodak theatre becomes a moment you could never forget. It is at the Oscars, movie fanatics like me, find the real movie. The movie that encapsulates what love really means. What honor signifies for a man in his 8os accepting the lifetime achievement award. A time when experience means everything. Sometimes when I look at Meryl Streep, the woman with the most nominations, I am so in awe. What grace and respect she carries herself with, it is really an honor to have seen her movies, so perfect. Mamma Mia! where she sung the 'Winner takes it all' with such emotion...only she could have sung it knowing that it was a song that was meant to break your heart. because it was sung by a woman, who had lost her love. Maybe when the true artist feels that, only then can he/she act it out with such sheer perfection. It brings tears to your eyes. Kate Winslet. Oh my god. I'm a new fan. But she wowed me with that impromptu whistle, asking her dad to sing it, so that she'd know where he was in the sea of stars. And he did. What a class act. It reminded me of Katharine Hepburn. She would have done something like that. To be sure of oneself, and do what one loves, oh what joy! We all really want to be part of this joyous moment of the Oscar. A hundred million people would have always wanted to be there on the stage, mouthing those perfect lines written by the most wonderful and beautiful writers of the starry lanes of Hollywood. That every word is to touch your heart, with meaning, logic and love. One man put it so rightly when he said, Work hard, do good work and never give up. We'll do just that then. A podium of hope, achievement, honour, respect. I'm so glad the real stories and acting comes from a place that understands the true meaning of being a good human being.
Ladies and gentlemen. I give you. The greatest award ceremony ever. The Oscars.
